The Muppets were better actors

Was really looking forward to watching this film, the trailers looked great. After 10 minutes I was laughing at how bad it was, the acting was poor, my wife commented that the acting was better by the Muppets in their new release. The plot was disjointed and the names too confusing to follow - bascially its red vs blues. The big name actors who will wonder why they got involved. Thought I saw some sets from Cowboys vs Aliens a film that is equal to this one - if you liked that you will probably like this one. Stayed to the end out of interest as much as anything to see where it landed up. One positive was that there was no pointless 3D which tends to ruin this format. Had read that the takings in America had dropped after the first weekend and that the critics weren't impressed. Can see why they were right. Would I buy this on DVD when released to watch again - definitely not.
Great action Movie!

This is a fantastic film in IMAX and 3D. The cinematic experience and action is excellent and the special effects are as good as you'll see in many action/adventure movies. The storyline comes in for some criticism for being a little bit complicated and perhaps unbalanced, that is to say that it goes from Earth to Mars, back to Earth and back to Mars. The trip from Mars back to Earth and back again to Mars is probably too short and the earlier bit (in Mars) too long, it could have been divided better (and the story could have perhaps been simplified a touch). But, DO NOT let these harsh criticisms stop you from going, the action/adventure and cinematic experience is top notch. I took my 6 and 5 yr old boys along with my 8 yr old niece (and (46 yr old sister) and they loved it. Top film, great action and original, it will be a great film to keep on Blu-ray, go and see it!
