What's the plot?

The sequel to the 2008 hit ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’, 3D adventure ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ follows young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) on his quest to find the source of a coded message received from an incredible island that shouldn’t exist.

Together with his stepfather, a helicopter pilot and his strong-willed daughter they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before the island and its treasures are buried forever.

‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ also stars Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine.

I was pleasently surprised when I watched this film. It had many moments of laughter and fun for all the family and beautiful graphics. The 3D effects were brilliant and really pulled you into the story, keeping your attention throughout. Overall, a wonderful film for all who seek adventure and a heart for exploration.

The 3D efects in the IMAX cinema screen was brilliant.The story line was a bit predictable and more suited for children. On the whole easy watching and a good movie for the kids.
