What's the plot?

When evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble and roll out of their magical world into ours - In fact, they tumble and roll smack Smurf dab into the middle of Central Park.

Causing chaos wherever they go, they search for a way out of the (very) Big Apple and back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

Audiences everywhere are in for a Smurfy good time as Papa, Smurfette, Gutsy and friends make their first trip to the big screen in this hybrid live-action and animated family comedy, ‘The Smurfs’.

Really good storyline, a little slow going at the start, funny, like 'a simple wish' but a huge improvement, blue people (crazy right!) but this is great, good stars, 'i kissed a smurf and i liked it', 'for smurfy sake' SMURFTASTIC!

Remembering the cartoons of the 80's I really did not want to see this, but my daughter dragged me to see it and I'm glad she did. The story was great and the little jokes the kids wouldn't get were good too. But best of all were the Smurfs themselves, they looked so real you just wanted to take one home, especially smurfette. The Scottish Smurf 'Gutsy' was my favourite and had all the best lines. Worth the money to see it at the cinema although I wished I'd seen it in 3D, especially when the Smurfs rode on the birds it was like being on a rollercoaster.

This film is really good! i went to see it with a friend and my mum came with us. we were all laughing our heads off at the bad guy and his pet cat! it is definitely worth watching and i would recommend this to people of all ages despite the fact that it appears to be a kids film. A definite must see!!!!!
