Don't be put off by the title - this is a wonderfully engrossing film with stand out performances by Ewan MCGregor, Emily Blunt, Kristin Scott Thomas (hysterically funny in this) and Amr Walker as the Yemeni sheikh with a penchant for fly fishing! I know some people have been disappointed by the fact the film isn't as faithful to Paul Torday's great book of the same name, but taken on its own merits - as a movie - it really is lovely. Funny, romantic, spiritual - it's hard to imagine anyone over the age of 21 not enjoying it.

Ewan at his best. Deserves an Oscar.

What a refreshing film that entertains without resorting to cliche sex scenes or violence or suspense. Good authentic believable drama. Characters you can identify with and totally believe in an unlikely but charming story with a sprinkling of clever humour. No corny slapstick here. Ewan Mc Gregor plays it different from usual and nails the British Gentleman character and Emily B is such a natural and watchable actress. Wonderful film that you can take your kids and your grandmother to! Beautiful photography by the director who brought us all the Abba videos in the 70s!!
